Jets Dominate Raiders

Sunday, October 25, 2009. Week 7. The New York Jets Recovered from their disappointing loss last week to the Buffalo Bills by defeating the Oakland Raiders 38-0. The Jets dominated and controlled all four quarters. Shawn Green and Thomas Jones both rushed for over 100 yards each. The Jets rushed for over 300 yards for the second week in a row, the first time in their history and time in the NFL since 1975. Mark Sanchez completed 9 of 15 passes for 143 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions or fumbles. David Clowney caught a 35 yard Sanchez pass for his first TD. Next game: Sunday, November 1st, New York Jets @ Oakland Raiders.

Jets Keeping Elam

The New York Jets announced they have matched the Cleveland Browns offer to safety Abram Elam. Elam had filled in last season for Eric Smith who was injured. Elam turned in an excellent performance for 2008. See this story for more details.
