Sanchez to make Quarterback Battle Interesting

Mark Sanchez was outstanding in the New York Jets final mini camp.  Sanchez had just signed a five year deal reportedly worth up to 60 million, with a New York Jets record 28 million guaranteed.  It should turn out to be a interesting battle for the starting quarterback job;  Clemens has also been excellent in the Jets mini camps.  See this article for more on this story.

May 21, 2009.  The New York Jets rookie quarterback prospect Mark Sanchez attended his third practice and got a taste of being the newest rookie on the team.  Things did not go smoothly for the rookie,  who had trouble throwing the ball and missed plays. Jets Disgruntled Running Backs

Thomas Jones, AFC’s leading running back last season, and Pro Bowler Leon Washington, boycotted Mondays voluntary practice seesion to express their displeasure with their respective contracts.  There is a mandatory mini camp scheduled for June and both players are expected to attend.  For more on this story, see this article.

Mike Kracalik Signs with Jets

Mike Kracalik, who was invitited to the Jets three day voluntary veterans camp, must of made a good impression as the Jets signed him to a contract.  The offensive tackle played four games with the Baltimore Ravens over the past three seasons.
