Ryan Names Paces Replacement

New York Jets coach Rex Ryan has named Vernon Gholston to replace suspended starter Calvin Pace. Pace has been suspended for the first four games of the season for failing the leagues substance abuse test. Gholston, a rookie last season who did not live up to expectations, will be getting another chance to prove himself. See this story for more.
Jets Sign Tackle

The New York Jets added offensive tackle Nevin McCaskill to their roster. McCaskill was recently released by the Green Bay Packers. He was with the Buffalo Bills in 2007 but was waived before the regular season started.
