Jets Release Moore

The New York Jets announced that they could not come to terms with Brandon Moore and given him his release. Moore should be in high demand on the free agent market as he is an excellent guard. The Jets are releasing players to free up the salary cap so that they can yet make a big move in the free agent market. This story has more details.

Jets Release Two Players

Ryan Ponders Quarterback Slot

New York Jets coach Rex Ryan has to choose a new quarterback now that Brett Favre will not be returning. Ryan is not worried, having won in the past without ’star’ or ‘name’ quarterbacks. Favre Retires – Again

Brett Favre has announced that he is not returning for another season with the NY Jets and is retiring; for good, so he says. Favre gave the Jets a good ride and some thrills, especially in the first half of the season. But whatever Brett does now, its time for the Jets to move forward and let their young up and coming quarterbacks go out there and prove they can get the job done. Of little consolence to most NY Jets fan is that six Players will appear in the Pro Bowl in Hawaii. Four of them will be appearing for the first time. The Jets late season plunge from contention still pains long suffering Jets fans but at least they can see some of their team in action one more time before the long off season.
